Zoellick Says World in ‘Dangerous’ Time With Europe Turmoil

According to World Bank President Robert Zoellick, threats posing the global economy are only growing – with the euro currently hanging in the balance. Zoellick has emphasized that the decisions that stand to be made in the near future, specifically by European leaders, could either make or break this fragile economic zone. Experts have indicated that the chance of a recession in the euro zone has risen to a whopping 50 percent, which apart from being potentially disastrous in isolation, doesn’t bode well for the global economy either. While predictions have been made that the euro will survive in the next five years, membership of this common currency in the future is significantly less predictable.
