In his presentation, he highlights the fact that China is predicted to have a larger economy that the United States by the year 2020. He then poses the question of how we – in the West – are to make sense of China and its phenomenal rise. Jacques proceeds to underline the reasons why the West is often confused with regard to the growing success and power of the Chinese economy and then offers valuable insight as to what we can expect the future to look like.
