Tim Jackson: An Economic Reality Check

Tim Jackson – internationally esteemed economist and researcher – studies the relationships between lifestyle, societal values, and the environment. In this TED-Talk, Jackson takes a look at the concept of prosperity and highlights the notion of global prosperity being a shared endeavor. He juxtaposes our often narrow definition of prosperity with our bleak, resource-poor future. According to Jackson, our responsibility as those who hold much of the world’s wealth is to help lift others out of the extreme poverty in which they live. Based on this, Jackson boldly challenges age-old economic principles. He outlines how we can practically stop contributing to the current global financial crisis, broaden our definition of prosperity, and take constructive steps toward investing in our global future.

  • Scooby Doo Leadership

When I was a child one of my favourite cartoons was Scooby Doo, with its ‘tongue in cheek’ humour and pseudo ’70s approach to life. However, during some recent reflection on Leadership challenges I considered…

This, however, does not mean that global warming is…
