RPT-INSIGHT-Amazon’s cloud business a harder sell in post-Snowden era

Taser International Inc’s small but high-profile contract-deal to supply body cameras to the London police nearly collapsed over one issue: where the video footage would be stored. If not for Amazon.com’s lack of a data center in Britain,  Taser wouldn’t have dropped the company as the official data storage provider for the year-long project.  This deal breaker in effect, is but one case in point regarding the challenges faced in an attempt to expand Amazon’s cloud business, known as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
