Amazon: The Walmart of the Web

Only a few years post its launch in 1995, public expectation was that Amazon would be crushed by its competitor Barnes & Noble. Contrary to expectations, it appeared to be the one now doing the crushing. On the 28th of September, Jeff Bezos, CEO offered the world a glimpse at the companies latest tablet: the Kindle Fire. This gadget is expected to compete with B&N’s Nook Color tablet and Apple’s iPad. Like Apple, Amazon offers their shoppers an impressive collection of online content, including e-books, films, and music. And similarly to Apple, it also allows people store their content in a computing ā€œcloudā€, providing access to it from almost anywhere. However, Apple and Amazon have each adopted a very different philosophy with regard to product pricingā€¦
