From smart to genius: will design define future gadgets?
Before the iPhone exploded onto the technology market, mobile phones came in all shapes and sizes and there was plenty to choose from for each individual. But nowadays, most phones have a touch screen, rows of icons and are rectangular – in other words – they all look a lot like the iPhone. Now, in the face of the newly infamous Apple vs Samsung trial, fears begin to surface over the end of an era of rapid and exciting innovation in mobile design. The unavoidable question is posed: Will design define future gadgets? So far, according to Reuters, it seems the iPhone has won the day and all users of Google’s android system will either give up or tread carefully for fear of litigation…
